The Start

I spent most of my life in row crops. Corn, soybeans, the rhythm of seasons and dirt under my fingernails. But in 2021, something shifted. I looked at what I was doing and what I needed to do next, and agriculture farming wasn't it anymore. So I did what felt like the only honest move: I bought an excavator and started learning a new trade from scratch.

Those first projects taught me fast. I wasn't walking into a business with a playbook. I was learning the right way to move dirt, how to talk to property owners, how to understand what a client actually needed versus what they thought they needed. Northeast Arkansas became my classroom. Every site was different—residential foundations, land clearing, drainage work, demolition. The work was honest and necessary, and I found I was good at it because I cared about getting it right.

What I didn't expect was how much people needed someone they could trust. Someone who showed up, who explained what was happening, who treated their property like it mattered. That became everything.

What We've Learned

Locally owned means I live in the same area I work. My reputation doesn't hide behind a company logo or a customer service phone line. When I finish your job, I see you around town. That changes how you think about corners, timelines, and cleanup. You don't cut on something you know you'll answer for tomorrow.

Being family-owned means there's no board meeting deciding we should be bigger faster. It means when you call, you're not waiting for a callback from an office a hundred miles away. You're getting me, or someone I've trained because I trust them completely. I know every detail of every project because I have to. That's not scalability—that's reliability.

Coming from farming taught me patience and persistence. You can't rush dirt or weather. You learn to read conditions, adapt when something goes sideways, and finish what you started. That discipline matters on an excavation site just like it did on the farm. When something unexpected shows up, we figure it out and move forward.
